Your role

As a2D Artist (f/m/d) at Chimera Entertainment GmbH, you'll collaborate with our experienced, international team to create visually stunning games. With a focus on quality and a team-first attitude, you'll work on cutting-edge projects with high-profile partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creation and development of visual concepts and artistic visions with the Art Director
• Be responsible for containing a consistent art style and quality in our games
• Collaborate with all 2D and 3D artists, according to project needs
• Creation and maintenance of style guides together with the Art Director
• Feedback, final polishing, and consistent merging of assets produced by outsourcing companies or freelancers
• Communicating and developing solutions with Production, Design, and Coding departments
• Contact with the customer on a regular base
• Create outstanding Concept Art (Mood Paintings, Model Sheets, etc.) and Game Art
• Keen sense of anatomy, colors, (graphic)design, lighting, and composition

Who are we looking for:

• Possess a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in the games industry
• Demonstrate the capability to produce high-quality sketches, concept art, characters, and environment concepts
• Specifically proficient with high quality line drawings (Alphonse Mucha - Art Nouveau style)
• Familiarity with common and efficient workflows and development processes in the games industry
• Experience with common 3D Tools (i.E. Blender, 3DSMax, Maya, Substance Painter)
• Proficient in communication with team members, outsourcers, and customers
• Proficiency in creating detailed documentation of work
• Excellent command of Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• Versatility in creating a wide range of stylistic approaches and settings
• Efficient work ethic within tight schedules
• Highly motivated, flexible, and a collaborative team player
• Good proficiency in spoken and written English

The ideal candidate also has:

• Familiarity with working in Unity 3D
• Experience in handling outsourcing partners
• A knack for creating high-quality graphic design and typography
