YOUR TASKS AT SUBTEL

As Category Manager / Product Manager (Laptop Batteries &
Powerbanks), you’ll be responsible for managing and driving the sales growth of your product category across subtel’s webshops and on Amazon.
Your tasks will include:

• Analysing sales and product trends, our competition, as well as e-commerce customer demand
• Developing and maintaining pricing strategies for products within our target markets
• Scouring the internet for new online marketplaces, attending trade fairs, and working with existing suppliers to develop products that meet our customers’ needs
• Working with our purchasing team to source suitable products that fulfill the niches you have identified through your research
• Providing clear direction to the content, graphic design, and photography departments to ensure that item descriptions, packaging, and instruction manuals properly reflect the product and our brand
• Responsibility for the sales and profitability of your product categories
• Creating regular, detailed plans and forecasts for your category
• Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, including purchasing, quality management, graphics, content, and marketing departments, to implement your category strategies across the whole organisation

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Our wishlist for the ideal candidate includes:

• A relevant university degree or comparable training
• At least two years of professional experience in category management, product management, or purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment
• Expertise, experience, and a personal interest in photography &
  video technology products, preferably as a product or category manager
• Excellent written and spoken English
• You think analytically and have strong problem-solving skills
• You have a high sense of responsibility and project management skills
