Engineering Lead - Laboperator Application (M/F/D)

Your mission

Lead our Laboperator Application Team

Required tech stack

• Strong understanding of Ruby on Rails
• JavaScript with at least one modern FE framework - preferably React
• End-to-end testing:
  e.G. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.
• Experience with at least one CI tool - Github Action, CircleCI, Travis, etc.
• PostgreSQL (or comparable database)

• Test-Driven Development

Key challenges for this role - Are you up for it?

We're seeking an individual who can rapidly master a multi-faceted product and the laboratory field.

Laboperator is a technically complex product, enabling automation, data collection, controls, monitoring, etc.
of laboratory devices at scale. As such, the solution provided will need to be performant, scalable, and
traceable.

The platform consists of several key pieces, including edge computing hardware, which all need to work together in unison. End-to-end understanding starting from the laboratory devices, edge computing hardware, API servers, background workers, message bus, databases, and everything in between is often needed to reach the right technical solution for the problem faced by the users.

• Understanding of static analysis tools, e.G. linter, formatter, code coverage analysis

Job experience

• General industry experience preferred (e.G. chemistry, pharma, device manufacturer)
• Adjacent industry experience required (e.G. engineering)
• you have 5+ years of technical experience with at least 2 years of experience in team management

Nice to have
Experience working in an agency/consultancy or freelancing on project-based work.Language proficiency

English:
Fluent to business fluent (C1)
