Index Sales Manager - FTSE Russell

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for account management and selling FTSE Russell index and Analytics Solutions to buy and sell-side clients in Germany and Switzerland.

FTSE Russell's expertise and products are used extensively by institutional and retail investors globally. For over 30 years, leading asset owners, asset managers, ETF providers, and investment banks have chosen FTSE Russell indexes to benchmark their investment performance and create investment funds, ETFs, structured products and index-based derivatives.

With the recent addition of The Yield Book business, FTSE Russell extends its expertise in analytics to a highly respected analytics platform. The Yield Book offers analytical insights into a broad array of fixed income instruments with specific focus on mortgage, government, corporate and derivative securities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Learn and develop a deep understanding of the FTSE Russell product offering and the index provider competitive landscape with a view to building an ongoing analysis and development of own sales skills
  • Exceed revenue goals through rigorous account planning, plan implementation and plan management.
  • Maintain detailed electronic history of interaction with prospects and clients in FTSE's Customer Relationship Management system
  • Maintain accurate pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of each FTSE account in the assigned territory
  • Maintain a thorough daily in-person dialogue with accounts and prospects of FTSE products and services
  • Co-ordination along with active participation in all European Sales Campaigns, ownership &
    maintenance of standardised group presentation and proposal materials
  • Co-ordination and participation in FTSE Russell sponsored client events
  • Actively support FTSE marketing efforts as it relates to new product announcements and existing product upgrades
  • Efficiently and co-operatively follow all company policies of in-house counsel, finance and administration
  • Develop and display a deep knowledge and understanding of FTSE Russell products, packaging and pricing

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to come and be a part of our FTSE Russell Sales team!

  • You will have good understanding of indices and industry trends, it would be helpful if you have equities and / or fixed income product knowledge too
  • Proven relationship skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers across all levels
  • Demonstrable experience in sales with track record in sales administration, support and/or execution - with a big ambition to develop a sales career
  • Self motivating and resilient
  • Must show the ability to demonstrate and encourage collaboration with peers
  • Commercially focused and ability to demonstrate vitality, drive and passion
  • Ability to handle demanding performance targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communications abilities
  • Outstanding MS PowerPoint Skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with constructive and professional Work Capabilities
  • Able to work in a high-reaching environment and take both direction and exhibit initiative where need be
  • Willingness to learn and be open minded to new insights and change
