Lead Software Engineer Crypto Market Data (M/F/X)

Your mission

BLOCKSIZE is searching for a Lead Software Engineer Crypto Market Data on the market data team to join as soon as possible. Give your career a boost in an innovative business field!
Your Tasks:

• Develop products and features that process real-time and historical crypto market data in innovative ways;
  connect DEX and CEX data, support the operation of Blockchain nodes, implement highest standard of outlier detection methodology and monitoring schemes.
• You will take ownership for the market data infrastructure running in the GCP cloud.
• You will lead other software engineers in the market data team (2-4 developers).
• Work hands-on and own the backend-infrastructure including data ingestion and external APIs
• Create and maintain Websocket as well as RPC endpoints.
• Manage critical infrastructure, coordinate with co-workers from development, project management, quality assurance, engineering, marketing, and related fields.
• Your mission is to provide financial institutions and Smart Contracts in the DeFi space with the most reliable and accurate market data in the crypto space.

Your profile

• Must-have:
  4+ yearspractical workingexperiencein a fintech company or financial services companyin the field offinancial market data, preferably crypto price feeds.
• Must-have:
  4+ years experience in programming Golang or any other strongly typed programming language.
• Must-have:
  You must already live inEurope, ina timezone +/- 3 hours of the CET.
• Must-have:
  Large interest in blockchain technology and/or financial products.
• Being able to extract data fromdecentralized exchanges/pools for obtaining market data from there.
• You understand methodologies for crypto price feeds and strategies defined by quant analysts and can implement them on your own in programming code.
• Experience in microservice architectures, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of Postgres or MySQL.
• Good understanding of Git and Jira workflows.
• Computer science fundamentals and systems design.
• You are the owner of the services you program and maintain them with the team, possibly also fixing bugs outside of normal working hours, if necessary.
• Ability to be creative and resourceful when tackling ambitious technical challenges.
• Very good English skills.
• Hands-on, collaborative, and data-driven mentality.

Nice-To-Have

• Know-how in technologies like Google Cloud Platform, gRPC, Terraform, Gitlab CI, and/or Prometheus.
• You can quickly make sense of large and complex systems.
• You are good in communication and you do not hesitate to join technical meetings with business partners or customers.
