About Sequencing Team (Better Route Tribe):

In Team Sequencing, we empower the driver with a smart route optimization that brings accountability and efficiency. By automatic real-time sequencing, we optimize last-mile delivery tours with hundreds of stops to easily handle skyrocketing parcel volumes globally.

Thousands of drivers rely on our route optimization, and every day is full of new challenges. For this reason, we leave the choice to our drivers to either follow a pre-optimized sequence or update route calculation settings to customize and recalculate the route at any time.

You will be taking care of

• Crafting, refining, and enhancing our backend microservice solutions.

• Diving into our Data Lake layers, from the Bronze to the shiny Gold, ensuring our data swims smoothly.

• While we won't force you into Test-Driven Development (TDD), you'll definitely be getting cozy with testing to keep our systems solid.

• Rolling up your sleeves and building slick CI/CD pipelines that take the grunt work out of building, testing, and deploying code.

• Getting your hands dirty with some DevOps tasks, keeping our infrastructure humming and our code flowing.

You check these boxes

• Proficiency in Kotlin or production experience in Java with a strong affinity for Kotlin.

• Experience in DevOps practices, including infrastructure management, automation, and deployment pipelines.

• Skilled in utilizing the Spring framework for developing robust and scalable backend solutions.

• Familiarity with unit testing, system design principles, and software design patterns (DRY, KISS, SOLID).

• You thrive on complexity and are energized by tackling challenging problems.

• You are excited about opportunities to work on green-field projects and contribute to building innovative solutions from scratch.

• Strong English speaking and writing skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration in an English-language environment (German is not required)

It is awesome if you also have

• Experience working with cloud-based services and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and a customer-centric mindset, contributing to a dynamic and innovative team environment.

• Eager to work on traveling salesman problem
