FX Trading Technology team in Berlin focuses on development of low latency award-winning FX trading electronic platform. We work on super-fast market data feeds, connectivity to exchanges and other electronic venues, algo pricing and trading, order management systems and frameworks;
we capture petabytes ofdata and power analytics for traders and quants.

We are looking for a senior Java Engineer, ready to join the strong team of developers, QA and infrastructure engineers. You will work in tight collaboration with quant developers and traders on the desk to deliver best class trading solution for FX business. You will report to the team lead, and directly collaborate with business departments and both local and remote developers and project managers from partnering teams. Together with the team you will work on a full life cycle of a product, from architecture design to implementation.

Your key responsibilities

• Working on business and functional requirements, technical analysis and design.
• Prototyping new features, meeting business needs and solving challenging technical problems.
• Develop functionality within our electronic trading estate based on provided business requirements.
• Reviewing other team member's code and mentoring junior developers. We are looking for people who are encouraged to write an efficient and elegant code, who are challenged to tackle complex real-life tasks and meet everything required for writing low-latency multithreaded applications.
• Collaborating with QA team on test automation and with Dev Ops on continues SDLC and environment management improvements.

Your skills and experiences

• Knowledge of core Java (collections, multi-threading, networking) - 3+ years
• Basic knowledge of Linux and SQL relational databases solutions
• Basic knowledge of messaging solutions is a plus
• Working experience with JVM tuning, Java memory optimizations, performance profiling, is a plus
• Good written and spoken English
