Commercial Banking Tribe

You'll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.E. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

We are on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. We are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and we are collaborating with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

As Solution Architect (m/f/x) you work in our Squads designing and implementing user friendly and efficient digital solutions and processes for our corporate clients. Together with the enterprise architects you shape the software architecture and define E2E solution designs for new features.

Your key responsibilities

• You are responsible for the architecture and the solution design for features developed in your Squads balancing requirements, effort, and costs for the solution. Thereby you ensure that our Architecture principles are followed and that the solutions are in line with our IT strategy.
• You support the Squads in developing new features and digital processes as well as in migrating existing processes and features to a new cloud-based solution architecture. You will work with the teams to validate the feasibility of the designed solutions, identify the right technologies, and support with architectural guidance during implementation.
• You will communicate with business and technology stakeholders to identify and broaden the solution space, aligning it also with the existing landscape.
• You consult product owners, engineers, application owners and all other stakeholders with regards to technical questions and challenges.
• You will work in an agile setup, helping with feedback to improve our way of working.

Your skills and experiences

• University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience -ideally in Financial Services / Banking industry.
• Several years of working experience as a software architect or a lead engineer with solution design experience preferably in a scaled agile setup supporting one or several Squads.
• Strong and deep knowledge of most recent technologies, be it cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure), artificial intelligence, programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python), databases (Postgres, BigQuery), and other solutions.
• Great understanding on various architecture and solution patterns and where to apply them plus very good analytical skills and the ability to structure complex tasks.
• You enjoy working in an open, highly collaborative teams based in multiple locations and being a good team player with a passion for technology and engineering. You are able to communicate fluently in English. German is a Plus.
